Bloomberg indices started off developing fixed income products based on the Bloomberg bond databases and since then have grown both organically and through acquisition. •2014 Bloomberg acquired UBS Australian Fixed Income index business •2016 Bloomberg paid US$520 Million for Barclays BRAIS analytics and family of indices (formerly Lehman’s) •2019 launches first equity indices Bloomberg indices are available on the Bloomberg Terminal free of charge. Licences are required for other use, i.e. enterprise usage, performance benchmarking, distributed via other platforms and feeds, or otherwise outside the proprietary Bloomberg environment
