China Foreign Exchange Trade System (CFETS), also known as the National Interbank Funding Centre, is directly affiliated to the People’s Bank of China (PBC) CFETS undertakes daily monitoring on market transactions, provides support and service for PBC’s monetary policy transmission and market self-regulatory organisations. Data is sourced from Shanghai CFETS-NEX International Money Broking a joint venture with the CME (Originally ICAP) which was founded in 2007. CFETS went live with Phase 1 of NEX’s FX2017 trading platform in 2017 replacing the former Thomson Reuters (Refinitiv) service. Phase 2, Day 1 saw 480 institutions log in with 307 institutions conducting deals. Inter-bank FX market turnover was US $62.8 Billion. Based on data from FX2017 C-FETS sells licences for market data services and products focused on China OTC markets as 'Chinamoney', and plans to expand into new markets
