In 1998 the first STOXX indices were launched as a joint venture between Dow Jones, Deutsche Börse and SIX Group. •2000 STOXX was the first index provider to implement free float market capitalisation in all its indices. •2009 Dow Jones exits the joint venture and the DJ prefix is dropped •2015 Deutsche Börse buys out SIX Group’s 49.9% for CHF 650 Million •The 2019 merger of Axioma, DAX Indices, and STOXX into Qontigo with General Atlantic as a shareholder brought together Deutsche Börse’s 2 index brands with analytics services STOXX indices are licensed to 500+ institutions globally for the purpose of benchmark performance, risk, and the creation of financial products, such as ETFs, futures & options, and structured products
