Early 2016 ICE commenced operations of its new US Treasury fixed income index business by supplanting Bloomberg Barclays on BlackRock’s iShare ETX platform This was followed by ICE making 2 strategic purchases, both from BAML to expand coverage in the over-the-counter benchmark space •2016 ICE announced the acquisition of Bank of America Merrill Lynch Indices and analytics platform with 5,000 fixed income, currency and commodity (FICC) indices •2019, October, ICE completed the purchase of the Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML) US fixed income volatility indices including the Merrill Lynch Option Volatility Estimate (‘MOVE’) Index ICE also acts as an authorised benchmark administrator through the acquisition of NYSE which had gained the mandate for LIBOR management.
