Originally founded as the National Quotation Bureau (NQB) which reported quotations for both stocks and bonds in the paper-based Pink Sheets and Yellow Sheets. In September 1999, the NQB introduced the real-time Electronic Quotation Service.. There are 3 markets, OTCQX, OTCQB and Pink, each with different defined requirements. OTC Markets Group provides services in three core areas: 1 Trading Services 2. Market Data & 3 Corporate Services As of 31 December 2017, there were 10,286 securities quoted, 94 active market participants and 58 market data distributors were disseminating OTCM market data to subscribers.
