The Thai Bond Market Association was originally set up as ‘The Bond Dealers Club’, introducing a fixed income trading system called ‘BondNet’ 1998 renamed to ‘The Thai Bond Dealing Centre’ 2004 Thai Ministry of Finance re-organised the Thai Bond Market and TBDC became the ‘Thai Bond Market Association’ in 2000 as a self-regulatory organisation There are 55 financial institution members, including 35 securities firms, 13 local banks, and 7 foreign banks It is the sole information centre for the Thai Bond market collating data from primary and secondary markets and disseminates the data via www.thaibma.or.th and www.ibond.thaibma.or.th ThaiBMA also acts as a Bond Pricing Agency to provide market to market prices and a model yield evaluated price for illiquid securities
