Yonhap News Agency, YNA, is South Korea’s national news organisation and was founded on the 19th December 1980 through the merger of Hapdong News Agency and the Orient Press. The largest shareholder is the Korea News Agency Commission (KONAC). Yonhap has 580 domestic correspondents and 60+ based overseas. In November 1991 the YNA launched ‘Infomax’ as a real time equities and news service for the Korean capital markets. In 2001 Infomax was re-constituted as a joint stock company. Yonhap Infomax calculates the KORIBOR Benchmark In 2019 Infomax launched ‘Infomix’ a large group shared information service Infomax claims a client base of 1,000+ institutions, companies, and agencies
